Revenge

When State Police in Shelby, North Carolina, tried to pull over a young man driving 
a tractor because it was missing a headlight and did not have any taillights.  The 
driver, one S. McDonald, 20ish, refused to stop.  Instead he led the troopers on a 
two-mile chase that reached speeds up to twenty-five miles per hour.  When he finally 
did stop, the suspect ran into a mobile home, then emerged threatening officers with a
21-inch sword.  Officers used tear gas to subdue the suspect.

Our research division thoroughly investigated the circumstances surrounding this event 
and uncovered the following information.  The young man was out, at the request of his 
wife, looking for a handkerchief she had dropped.  Mrs. McDonald, knowing about the 
problem with the tractor lights, called the troopers to inform them that her husband 
was out driving a poorly equipped tractor.  Her motive--revenge.  He had refused to 
change his tie that morning before church, as she had instructed him.     

Lesson learned?  Men, Beware the wiles of Women!
